People ask me all the time… .
What’ s the best exercise to do to “lose weight, get more tone, feel better, etc”?
My reply always is: The one you will do!!!
I’ve been teaching fitness for 20 + years and have done my very best to keep it as FUN as possible. As I have said many many times, there are so many great things about “movement.”
Notice… I didn’t say workout. It can make you smarter and give you more energy. It can increase your confidence and help you feel good about yourself. It can help you lose weight, build strength. I’m sure you have heard all the reasons.
Although I make it a point to NOT call it a WORKout, it does actually involve some amount of “work” which really only means putting forth some effort to accomplish something.
Sooooooooooo… it my world – what gets accomplished and/or produced is you have FUN and you feel GOOOOOD!!!
And when you exercise you want some results, right?
Trust me, you will… cause when you are having FUN moving – enjoying the music – laughing etc. you automatically put forth more effort…
The key is to find out what YOU like to do.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Do I like to be in a group atmosphere?
- Do I like to be indoors or outdoors?
- Do I prefer playing a sport?
- Do I like music playing or do you prefer it to be quiet?
